About

Ryan Graff Contemporary

Current show: Rafael Hayashi: Protect Me 6-10pm

Ryan Graff Contemporary was born from an insistent need to explore the infinite complexities of our collective humanity. Within the form of a painted figure, or the contour of a brushstroke, there’s a chance for a moment of recognition, understanding, or genuine connection. A feeling that someone has shared an intimately common experience, or has felt exactly what you’ve felt. Figurative Humanist art acts as a kind of internal mirror, moving in the subtle territory between emotion and intellect, where the image lingers when language falls short. Our role as a gallery to hold a door open, creating a space where artist and viewer meet on equal ground, not as strangers, but together as fellow travelers.

Open during SF First Thursdays.
